In two days, July 28-29, 2022, the Vietnam Center for Economic and Strategic Studies (VESS) in collaboration with Oxfam Organization in Vietnam organized a training course on “Scientific Methodology and Research Ethics”. The training course has the participation of Oxfam partner organizations such as: The Center for Development and Integration (CDI); Center for Education Promotion and Empowerment of Women (CEPEW); The Center for Sustainable development of mountainous communities (SUDECOM); Center for Social Work – Community Development Research and Consultancy (SDRC); Centre for Promotion of Quality of Life (LIFE); The Center for Water Resources Conservation and Development (WARECOD); Research Centre for Gender, Family and Environment in Development (CGFED); Research center for Gender, Family and Community Development (GFCD) and lecturers from Hanoi University of Industry (HAUI).

The trainer of the training course is Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Duc Thanh, Director of the Vietnam Center for Economic and Strategic Studies (VESS).

The training course aims to increase the members’ understanding of scientific research methods, especially scientific theory and research ethics. During the training course, the members discussed the basic principles of using science such as ways of thinking, methods of perceiving the world, principles in implementing and implementing science.

After two days of training and discussion, the members had more knowledge base in scientific research. This knowledge will be a premise for application and implementation in research projects at organizations in the coming time.
